Virtual Car Boot Sale November 2020

Saturday 7th November 2020

Hot on the heels of our very first Virtual Car Boot Sale in May earlier this year we were delighted to bring the all-day fashion extravaganza back on Saturday 7th November! Our first event was an incredible success, raising over £77,000 to support women survivors of war through the pandemic. We are so grateful to everyone for their support and were thrilled to do it all again!

Hosted by fashion icon Alex Eagle, in partnership with THE OUTNET and supported by DS Automobilesdesigners, style influencers and coveted brands delved into their wardrobes and collections in aid of Women for Women International. Born from the passion of our much-loved #SheInspiresMe Car Boot Sale the virtual event brought the most amazing deals on designer items in the comfort of your own home.

Thank you too to all our incredible sellers, everyone who donated and everyone who joined us today for our second #VirtualCarBoot Sale! We have been blown away by your support! Thanks to the incredible on the day sales and the generosity of our sponsors we have raised over £88,000!⠀

⠀

Thank you all for putting the power of kindness, innovation and sisterhood into action. 100% of the proceeds from the Virtual Car Boot Sale will go towards our work supporting women living in some of the world's most dangerous places.

Meet our host

Alex Eagle, CREATIVE DIRECTOR OF THE STORE X AND ALEX EAGLE STUDIO

Alex Eagle is an Ambassador and trailblazer for Women for Women International. She has championed the Car Boot Sale from the beginning and is instrumental to the success of the event.

Alex is driven by a fascination for timeless objects and fashion that eschews trends, rather focusing on provenance and expertly crafted design. Honed by a career spanning magazines and fashion PR, Eagle’s eye and passion for original and masterfully made items has created the distinctive ethos of the Alex Eagle Studio.

Why now?

"Now, more than ever, is the time for community – coming together and joining forces to help those who need it most. My friends and I were heartbroken not to be able to hold the 5th annual #SheInspiresMe Car Boot Sale earlier this year due to the Coronavirus outbreak, because we know the funds raised for women in some of the world’s most dangerous places are needed now more than ever. However we moved the Car Boot Sale online with great success and we’ve set ourselves another challenge to clear our wardrobes and hold a second Virtual Car Boot Sale on 7th November."

We’re transferring the same spirit of sustainable fashion at great prices online for a good cause - helping women survivors of war, who are facing multiple challenges in this outbreak.
