Women for Women International and The Swedish Postcode Lottery Foundation

We're proud to partner with the Swedish Postcode Lottery Foundation (Svenska Postkodlotteriets Stiftelse)

Our two-year grants from The Swedish Postcode Lottery Foundation is helping women-led organisations in conflict-affected countries strengthen their advocacy, influence decision-making and advance peace, democracy and human rights.

Moving from Asking to Action

From 1st June 2026 to 31st May 2028, the Swedish Postcode Lottery Foundation is investing 2.3 million SEK (approximately $244,000) in Women for Women International's Moving from Asking to Action project. This initiative supports women-led organisations and women's rights organisations across Afghanistan, Burkina Faso, Mali, Myanmar, Palestine, Syria, Sudan, South Sudan, Ukraine

The project takes a locally led, co-design approach to equiping women-led organisations in conflict settings with the funding, tools and movement-building support to strengthen their collective influence to advance peace, democracy and human rights.

This funding will also help build stronger networks and partnerships between women's rights organisations, supporting collective advocacy efforts and amplifying women's voices in national and global decision-making spaces.

Through this partnership, we're helping ensure that women living through conflict have greater opportunities to shape the decisions, policies and peacebuilding efforts that affect their lives and communities.

Our Global Consultation

Speaking to women who are leading change in their communities

Our global consultation, From Asking to Action, spoke to over 6,500 women affected by conflict in 14 countries, co-created and delivered with 54 women's rights organisations (WROs). The findings underpinned this project to strengthen WROs in conflict-affected settings to influence democratic frameworks, promote gender equality and advance peace and human rights.
