Catherine is an award-winning journalist, author, and co-founder and president of the Women’s Equality Party.
Catherine served as president of the Foreign Press Association in London, is on the founding committee of WOW - The Women of the World Festival and was a judge for the 2018 Women’s Prize for Fiction.
"I looked around and saw younger women still enduring harassment and discrimination, still excluded and marginalised, by an industry that could challenge stereotypes and far more often reinforces them instead. At the same time, I watched mainstream political parties paying lip service to the value of gender equality while failing to deliver it in their own ranks much less more widely. And so I co-founded the Women’s Equality Party."
I believe that by rising in journalism, mentoring other women and working to extend and improve coverage of women, I was making a change.
