Corporate partners support our work by sponsoring individuals or classrooms of women to participate in our programme, raising funds with their employees and customers or donating a percentage of sales from a product.


Women for Women International are proud to partner with ESCADA.

Since 2017, Women for Women International has been delighted to partner with female-founded fashion brand, ESCADA. From an in-store competition, to the Heart bags sold in aid of the women we serve; our partnership has grown from strength to strength.

In 1978, Margaretha Ley founded ESCADA. Through Margaretha’s design skill in knitwear and tailoring and her entrepreneurial mindset, ESCADA grew into a globally renowned fashion brand. Margaretha’s creative vision and strength remain central to the brand today.

ESCADA donated 5% of profits from the Fall/Winter 2018 Heart Bag collection to our work helping women survivors of war to break free from poverty, stand up for their rights and create change for themselves, their families and communities. ESCADA’s activity raised enough funds to support a classroom of women through our year-long training programme.

To celebrate the appointment of musician Rita Ora as ESCADA’s new brand ambassador, and to continue our fantastic partnership, ESCADA and Rita Ora created a special edition of the Heart bag in Spring 2019. €15 from the sale of each bag, which will be available to buy mid-March, are donated to our work helping women survivors of war rebuild their lives.

Born in Kosovo, one of the countries Women for Women International operates in, Rita has a personal understanding of the impact of conflict. “I am so delighted that we are partnering with Women for Women International. Their work in helping women in conflict zones become economically empowered is so important. I am originally from Kosovo, so it was important to me to give something back to the women there,” she says.

During the Kosovo War in 1999, an estimated 20,000 Kosovar women were subjected to systematic rape. In the years following, rates of sexual assault, domestic violence, and sex trafficking have remained high. Since 1999, Women for Women International - Kosovo has served more than 33,000 women through our year-long programme.

The best thing about the Heart Bag is the message behind it. That you can be who you want to be, challenge the rules and feel strong and confident doing so.
