Kjaer Weis

In 2018, Women for Women International launched a partnership with female founded makeup brand, Kjaer Weis.

As a professional makeup artist, Kirsten Kjaer Weis was inspired to create an organic make up brand after recognising the need for skin-friendly and natural products.

Since its creation, Kjaer Weis has established itself as a leader in both sustainable and luxury make up. All of Kjaer Weis’s ingredients are cruelty free, Certified Natural or Certified Organic and their metal packaging can be refilled with your favourite Kjaer Weis product, helping to reduce plastic packaging waste.

Kjaer Weis collaborated with long-term Women for Women International supporter Caroline Issa to develop a two-shade lipstick collection to raise funds for our work with women survivors of war. 25% of the recommended retail price of the collection was donated to Women for Women International.

The Lipstick collection

Caroline is the Chief Executive and Fashion Director of TANK Magazine. She drew on her childhood memories and cultural background to create two shades of red lipstick.

Sucre is a reflection of her memories of growing up in Canada with the full red maple leaves during autumns in Montreal, while Amour Rouge has encapsulated the memories of picking red ‘love’ saga seeds as a child during summers in Singapore.

Mary Francoise Mukbawaza, a member of the Isangano cooperative which farms in Bumbogo sector in Rwanda.

INSPIRE HOPE

Mary’s husband and four of her children were killed during the genocide in Rwanda. By sponsoring a woman like Mary you can inspire hope in a woman survivor of war.
