Learn about how women are affected by war and conflict
Women for Women International was launched in 1993, in response to the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Unfortunately, 30 years later conflicts continue to rage on around the world, with women’s rights regressing in many areas.
Since starting our work in Bosnia and Herzegovina, we have reached over half a million women in 14 countries affected by conflict.
Every day, in the face of violence and inequality, we see women survivors of war in our programmes rise up and take control of their lives. They make positive changes that, in time, have a lasting effect on their families and on society as a whole.
Take our 7 question quiz to learn about the challenges they face and why it’s so important to support them.
