Terms and Conditions

  1. This is a social media Art Competition where one winner will be selected. The first round of shortlisting will be conducted by Women for Women International, followed by a second round of public voting.  
  2. In order to enter you must share a qualifying post on Instagram or Facebook. 

  1. No purchase of any kind is necessary to enter or win the Art Competition. 

  1. A purchase will not increase a Participants chance of winning. 

  1. Sponsors: Women for Women International – UK (UK Charity Registration Number: 1115109) and Women for Women International (EIN/Tax ID #52-183-8756) 

  1. Art Competition entry period: Monday, 26th February 2024 - Monday, 19th March 2024, closing at midnight.   

  1. Art Competition public voting period: Tuesday, 26th March – Thursday, 28th March, closing at midnight, GMT. 

  1. The rules for how to enter this Art Competition are as follows:  

  • To enter the Art Competition, you must post a photograph or video on Facebook or Instagram of an original piece of artwork that in some way aligns with the theme of #SheDares.  

  • For a post to be eligible, it must:  

  • Include the hashtag #SheDaresArt and tag @womenforwomenuk and @womenforwomen  

  • Posts must be published on Instagram, grid or stories, or Facebook during the Art Competition entry period (between Monday, 26th February 2024 - Monday, 19th March 2024, GMT) 

  • Your Instagram or Facebook profile must be public  

  • Participants must be 13 years or older. Participants under the legal majority in their state or country of residence must have parental permission to participate 

  • All submissions must be original pieces of art, any submissions found to be plagiarised will be disqualified. 

  1. Void outside of the eligibility area and where otherwise prohibited or restricted by law. Participants residing in any of the following countries are not eligible to enter the Art Competition: Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eritrea, Republic of Guinea,  Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Cote D’Ivoire, North Korea, Liberia,  Libya, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Sudan, Tunisia. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Participation constitutes Participant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Terms and Conditions and Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Art Competition. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth in these Terms and Conditions.   

  1. The Sponsors are not responsible if a shortlisted submission is proven to be plagiarised work. 

  1. Public voting will close on Thursday, 28th March at midnight. The winner will be announced and contacted via their social media channels on Friday, 29th March. The Sponsors’ decisions are final on all matters relating to the Art Competition.  

  1. The Sponsors are not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any Participant by any third party connected with this competition.  

  1. The winner’s prize is as follows:  

  • £100 voucher for an art store 

  • £50 voucher for Craft Courses  

  • A selection of Charlotte Tilbury products  

  • A stationary bundle from nataliebyrne.uk  

  • Great Women Artists Book 

  • Women for Women International merchandise  

  1. The runner-up prize is as follows:  

  • Stationary from nataliebryne.uk  

  1. The prizes cannot be substituted for any other item, cash or credit. 

  1. Related parties: Natalie Byrne, Charlotte Tilbury Beauty. 

  1. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.  

  1. The winner of the Art Competition and runners-up will be notified by a direct message on Instagram from the sponsors.  

  1. The prizes will be dispatched from London by standard Royal Mail if the winners are based in the UK and International Standard Royal Mail service if the winners are based outside of the UK. Prizes will be dispatched within 2 weeks of the selection of the winner and runners-up (Friday 29th March, 2024), to the address provided by the participants to the Sponsors via direct Instagram message. 

  1. The winner must respond to the Instagram message informing them that they have been selected within 10 days of receiving the direct Instagram message. Non-compliance with this timeframe, return of prize or prize notification as undeliverable, or declining the prize for any reason, will result in disqualification without further notice. Prizes will be awarded provided it is properly claimed.   

  1. The Sponsors are not liable for any loss or damage to the prize in transit and will be unable to replace lost or damaged items.  

  1. The Sponsors’ decision in respect of all matters to do with the Art Competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.  

  1. The Sponsors shall have the right, in their sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage.  

  1. Employees of the Sponsors and the Related Parties are not eligible to win.  

  1. The Sponsors also reserve the right to cancel the Art Competition if circumstances arise outside of its control.  

  1. All federal, state and local taxes related to the prizes are the sole responsibility of the winners.   

  1. Prizes are awarded as is with no warranty or guarantee of any kind. Any and all guarantees and warranties in respect of the prizes are subject to the manufacturers’ terms and conditions, and the winner agrees to look solely to such manufacturers for any such warranty or guarantee claim.   

  1. By entering, Participants accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and the winners release the Sponsors and Released Parties and all others associated with the development and execution of the Art Competition from any and all liability for damages, losses or injury resulting from participation in the Art Competition or acceptance or use of the prizes.   

  1. Sponsors reserve the right in their sole discretion to disqualify any individual that tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Art Competition or website; violates the Terms and Conditions; or acts in an unsportsmanlike, obscene or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. Sponsors and its agencies are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, misdirected or damaged entries due to internet services providers service, weather, technical, hardware or software malfunctions, telephone failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled or delayed electronic communications, whether caused by the sender, by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this Art Competition which may limit the ability to participate, or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in the Art Competition. 

  1. Sponsors reserve the right to disqualify any submissions deemed by the Sponsors to be hate speech or offensive.  

  1. Limitation of Liability: By participating in the Art Competition, you agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsors and Released Parties from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Art Competition or receipt or use of any prize, including, but not limited to: (a) authorised human intervention in the Art Competition; (b) technical errors related to computers, servers, providers, or telephone, or network lines; (c) printing errors; (d) lost, late, postage due, misdirected, undeliverable mail; errors in the administration of the Art Competition or the processing of entries; (f) injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from Participant’s participation in the Art Competition or receipt or use of any prize. You further agree that in any cause of action, the Sponsors’ and Released Parties’ liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the Art Competition and the Released Parties assume no responsibility or liability for any indirect, special, punitive or consequential damages including, without limitation, loss of opportunity or goodwill.  

  1. Use of Information: Participating in the Art Competition or accepting any prize constitutes permission for the Sponsors and the Released Parties to use winner’s or participant’s name, likeness, image, photo, submitted art work, biographical information and other personal information or reshare, repost or otherwise publish any posts or images uploaded or published to Instagram or Facebook by the Participants or Winners for the purposes of this Art Competition, for any promotional or marketing purposes on any platform without further compensation except where prohibited by law. Any personal information, images, photos, graphics, location or biographical information that a Participant provides in connection with the Art Competition or otherwise shall be used by Sponsor or the Released Parties to contact Participants via any method including for the purpose of sending transactional messaging, and for the other purposes set forth in the Sponsor’s privacy policy or Released Parties’ privacy policies located on their websites. By entering this Art Competition, you agree to and accept the Sponsors’ and Released Parties’ privacy policies. The Participant may at any time revoke the use of such information by providing written notice to the Sponsor or Released Parties.  

  1. Disputes: Except where prohibited, Participant agrees that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Art Competition or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in Washington, D.C. Washington, D.C.. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Terms and Conditions, Participants’ or Winners’ rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of Sponsor in connection with the Art Competition, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Washington, D.C., without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of Washington, D.C. or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than  Washington, D.C..  

  1. Name of Winner: For the name of the winner, available for ninety (90) days after Friday 29th March 2024, send an email to the Sponsors using the email address supportuk@womenforwomen.org. Winners List will be sent after the prizes have been awarded.
