Taking action leads to hope. Get involved today.

With women’s rights in decline around the world and conflicts escalating, the news is filled with images of war, devastation and tragic loss. It’s no wonder so many people feel angry and hopeless.

Hope is a powerful force, one we must invest in. The women we serve are among the most marginalised in the world—they have survived the unimaginable. And yet, they refuse to give up hope.

Women in countries affected by conflict dare to challenge oppression with acts of defiance every day – and so can you.

Take action. Feel hope again.

0 the number of countries that have achieved gender equality. At the current rate of progress, it will take another 131 years to achieve gender equality worldwide.

81% of women we surveyed in countries affected by conflict said they are hopeful about the future. In Afghanistan, where women’s freedoms are being stripped away, that number raises to 87% —a remarkable testament to their resilience.

75% of the women we consulted in conflict-affected countries are calling for increased funding and resources, particularly for gender-sensitive aid.

"From Asking to Action"

A global consultation ensuring the voices of women affected by conflict are heard

We spoke to over 6,500 women in countries affected by conflict who are leading change in their communities.

The consultation highlighted the importance of investing in hope. Despite the immense challenges that women affected by conflict are facing, they still have hope for the future. Across the 14 countries where we consulted women, 81% are hopeful and expectant that their circumstances will improve in the next 5 years.

About Women's History Month and International Women's Day

Honouring women

✨ Women's History Month, first celebrated in the United States in 1987, recognises women trailblazers throughout time who have helped shape history, moving the needle on women’s rights and paving the way for change-makers today.

✨ International Women's Day on 8th March honours women’s social, economic, cultural and political contributions worldwide – while asking us to reflect on the progress we still need to achieve gender equality.
