Vanessa Leung Trustee

Vanessa Leung is an experienced actuary with a finance, risk assessment, management and regulatory policy background.

She is the Director of Actuarial Policy at the Financial Reporting Council where her team is responsible for setting standards and other policy initiatives. Prior to that, Vanessa was a senior manager at the Prudential Regulation Authority in the Bank of England. She led actuarial work in supervision of life insurance firms, and the implementation of the new regulatory regime. Vanessa is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and has a Mathematics degree from the University of Cambridge.

Vanessa is passionate about women's rights and gender equality and is inspired by the determination and resilience of the women that Women for Women International supports. Vanessa is also a trustee of Lifting Limits which aims to deliver gender equality through education.
