Clarissa Ward
In her fifteen-year career spanning Fox, CBS, and ABC, Clarissa has reported from front lines across the world. She has won five Emmy Awards, two George Foster Peabody Awards, an Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Award, two Edward R. Murrow Awards for distinguished journalism, honors from the Radio and Television Correspondents’ Association, the 2016 David Kaplan Award from the Overseas Press Club, and the Excellence in International Reporting Award from the International Center for Journalists.
She graduated with distinction from Yale University, and in 2013 received an honorary doctor of letters degree from Middlebury College in Vermont. She lives in London.

Brita Fernandez Schmidt
Brita is an advocate and promoter of women’s empowerment, women’s rights and equality. Brita is also the Chair of Gender Action for Peace and Security (GAPS). Previously she was a Commissioner to the UK Women’s National Commission, Chair of the Gender and Development Network, Director for Programmes and Policy at Womankind Worldwide, board member of BOND and she started her career at the European Women’s Lobby.
Brita holds a MA in Women’s Studies from the University of Sussex. Originally from Germany, Brita went to school in Venezuela. She now lives in the UK with her husband and two daughters.
