Kristin Cardwell has over ten years of experience working internationally across the digital and consumer sectors. Her expertise spans business growth strategy, brand and product development, and marketing.
Passionate about gender equality, Kristin has built much of her work around progressing the portrayal of women in culture and promoting women’s economic empowerment.
She is currently working with startups and especially supportive of female founders.
An early member of the international team at Refinery29, the leading digital media company for women, Kristin helped scale the business outside of the US and managed the largest international division as VP, International Strategy.
Previously, Kristin worked at WPP, supporting the CEO during a turnaround and forging strategic partnerships with digital media companies and startups. Prior, Kristin developed several multi-million brands and products from concept to launch across Western & Asian markets at L’Oreal.
Kristin also served as founding co-chair of the Young Professionals Network for Women’s World Banking, a non-profit focused on female micro-entrepreneurs in developing countries.
Kristin holds an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business, as well as a B.S. in Communications and a B.A. in Spanish from The University of Texas.
She is excited to support Women For Women International in our mission to progress women’s skills, education, and confidence in conflict-afflicted countries around the world.
