International Day of the Girl
End child marriage. Invest in girls' rights. Invest in her future.
Why International Day of the Girl Matters
Every year on International Day of the Girl (11th October), we recognise the power, resilience and potential of girls around the world. Yet millions of girls, especially in conflict-affected communities face barriers such as poverty, violence and lack of access to education.
This year's UN International Day of the Girl theme is ‘End child marriage and invest in girls' rights'.
At Women for Women International, we believe that when you invest in girls and women, you invest in stronger families, communities and societies. By providing skills, resources and support, we help women and girls in places affected by war and conflict break the cycle of inequality and build brighter futures.
This International Day of the Girl, join us to support girls’ rights and champion gender equality. Together, we can create a world where every girl has the chance to thrive.
For one week only (6th-13th October), all donations will be doubled at no extra cost to you. So every pound you give makes twice the impact for women and girls affected by conflict.
