Symbolic Gifts that give back

The Building Blocks of Education

A notebook, pen, pencil and ruler are the foundations for women in our Stronger Women, Stronger Nations programme to start rebuilding their lives.

Vegetable Seeds

This gift provides women with supplies and training so they can begin growing and selling produce in markets and feed their families.

A Baking Kit

Help women learn the skills and get the tools they need to start bakeries that provide food for their communities and a source of income for their families.

Baby Chicks

They may be cute, but to us, chicks are serious business. Raising poultry provides women in our programme with a lifeline to a steady income.

A Pig

A pig is an incredible gift that will help a woman start generating profits to support herself and her family.

A Sewing Machine

Tailoring is one of the many vocational skills that women can learn during their training, helping them on the path to economic self-sufficiency.

A Bicycle

A bicycle helps a woman quickly transport more goods to the market and is essential for keeping up with business.

Business Skills Training

Women whose lives have been disrupted by violence use business skills training to help them start a new life.

Vocational Skills Training

The women in our programmes learn vocational skills that are marketable in their communities, so they can start small ventures and begin earning an income.

Spread Hope All Year Round

Become a Stand With Her supporter this holiday season. Our Sister Tier starts at £22 a month. Through choosing to support a sister, your solidarity will help women living in some of the world’s most dangerous places begin to heal and rebuild their lives after the trauma of war.

Through our programme, your ‘sister’ will learn about her health and wellbeing, how to earn and save money alongside a vocational skill, and learn about her rights – all in a classroom with 24 other women, breaking the isolation caused by conflict.

About Symbolic Gifts

All donations made through this online catalogue are considered gifts to Women for Women International's global mission of serving women survivors of war and conflict. Your donation will be put to use where it can be most effective in helping women build a brighter future for themselves and their families.
