A sisterhood born out of shared purpose
Grace and Hadiza from Nigeria

Meet Grace and Hadiza, two graduates of our programme from northern Nigeria who are breaking the culture of silence on rape in their community. Their friendship blossomed during their training as Change Agents in our Stronger Women, Stronger Nations programme.
Grace shares: "I used to be unable to speak up in the face of oppression. But after completing the programme, I was presented with the opportunity to train as a Change Agent and advocate for others – and I grabbed it."
During the training, Grace met Hadiza, who had a similar goal.
I wanted to reduce the incidences of rape, early marriage, and gender-based violence, by being vocal and actively advocating for change.
Together, they have become regular contributors to a radio programme, 'Voice of the Change Agents,' where they discuss issues affecting women and involve the community in their campaigns for change.
Your support can change lives. Women who once faced devastating circumstances are now becoming entrepreneurs, community leaders and role models, thanks to the steady support from people like you.
Together Grace and Hadiza are making lasting positive change – and you can too.
