#ShakeItInSisterhood Danceathon
Thank you for dancing with us!
On Sunday, 25th of June, we invited you to #ShakeItInSisterhood at our first ever Danceathon, in partnership with SOS Dance at Siobhan Davies Studios in London. We're in awe that despite the heat you made it through all six routines with the same energy and a smile on your face. Here are some photos and videos from the day to look back on!
Together, you have raised an incredible £20,914 for women survivors of war. Thanks to you, 79 women will be able to join our Stronger Women, Stronger Nations programme and gain the skills they need to build a brighter future for themselves and their families.
Thank you so much for joining us!
If you want to support our dancers, you can still donate to their fundraising pages, helping them to raise vital funds for women survivors of war.
Celebrating women's resilience
Our sisters in many of the countries we work in often celebrate milestones in our Stronger Women, Stronger Nations programme, including graduation, by coming together and dancing. We would love for you to do the same, and dance in celebration of the women in our programmes.
We need your help to reach even more marginalised women, help them realise their power and build a brighter future for themselves. So they too can dance with their classmates on graduation day and celebrate brighter days ahead.
YOUR VERY OWN SWAG BAG
WE'RE HERE TO SUPPORT YOU
All our fundraisers received:
- Their very own #ShakeItInSisterhood Swag Bag on the day, including a limited edition t-shirt, tote bag, water bottle and special goodies from our partners Baylis & Harding and Dr PAwPaw
- Fundraising advice from our dedicated Fundraising Officer in the run up to the event
- Exclusive routines created by A-list choreographers Li Li Hodge and Kelechi Nwanokwu from SOS Dance who work with the stars, such as JLo & Beyoncé
