Selfish Mother

Molly Gunn and Selfish Mother have supported Women for Women International since 2014, raising over £200,000 for marginalised women in conflict-affected countries from the MOTHER and SISTA slogan tees and sweatshirts.

Through this donation, Selfish Mother have supported 761 women through Women for Women International’s year-long Stand With Her training programme, where they learn how to earn and save money, improve their family’s health and make their voices heard at home and in their community.

In 2018, Selfish Mother are launching the incredible WOMAN collection in aid of Women for Women International. The collection features iconic prints and designs from Women for Women International ambassadors; Alice Temperley, Charlotte Olympia, Mary Katrantzou and Savannah Miller on Selfish Mother’s limited-edition WOMAN slogan.

Mary Katrantzou says, "As a designer, I feel it is a duty to empower women to fulfil every role in their multidisciplinary lives and to stand out with confidence. Women for Women International’s work is an outstanding contribution to the global female empowerment movement."

Savannah Miller says, “Being a working mother is a real struggle and even more so for the women being supported by Women for Women International. As women, we are all united in strength and courage, and the unity enabled by these two organisations is awe-inspiring.”

Alice Temperley MBE says, “As a mother, daughter and sister this cause is incredibly important to me. The WOMAN sweatshirts and t-shirts are a celebration of freedom and female empowerment which are fundamental rights that every woman – wherever she lives in the world – should be entitled to.”

Charlotte Olympia says, “Women for Women International play an integral role for marginalised women living in challenging and difficult situations and having been a long-time supporter, I’m thrilled to participate in this incredible collection for Selfish Mother.
