In conjunction with Hun-tré! Adventures, Emma Horne Travel has devised a unique equestrian adventure for two people.
This equestrian adventure will commence with a two night stay at Tikli Bottom, a modern Lutyens style four bedroom Indian mansion just 50km south of central Delhi.
Nestled among the tranquil Aravali hills and surrounded by breath-taking wildlife, it is the perfect space to relax and seek respite after a day of sightseeing. The next chapter in this incredible itinerary is a five night stay in Manipur, where you will get to witness India’s only all female polo team compete against international teams from Kenya, America and Canada.
Finally, stay in the Glenburn Penthouse, an intimate haven of sophisticated luxury in the heart of historic Kolkata, and travel to the Glenburn Tea Estate, where you will stay in the plantation retreat that lies on a hillock above the banks of the River Rungeet, high in the Himalayas, overlooked by the mighty Kanchenjunga mountain range.
The Donors
Tikli Bottom is a modern Lutyens style four bedroom Indian haveli which is run as a private guest house. The courtyard and trees in the garden offer much recreational space, and shade in the hotter months.
It has the character of a hill station, being almost surrounded by hills, and lies less than 50 kms south of central Delhi in the state of Haryana, off the Delhi-Jaipur highway, nestling against the Aravali hills, and is 30 Kms and 45 minutes from the international airport. It is peaceful, quiet and most relaxing.
The Donor
Emma Horne
Emma Horne has been based in Delhi since 2004, however her association with the country goes back to 1979 when she first visited after leaving school.
She has been arranging holidays to the Subcontinent since 1986 whilst working with a London based travel company. As someone passionate about travel in this part of the world, Emma saw a definite need to assist and encourage others to travel out of Delhi and discover the wider India. Thus, Emma Horne Travel was born. Emma Horne Travel specialise in tailor-made journeys to Bhutan, Nepal, India and Sri Lanka.
